Spear is represented by the Northern California Area Rep, LINDA DONAHUE, of Sistas On The Links golf club.
WIG program help members build confidence and help to connect with peers which build lifelong relationships.  It also help members become more outgoing and feel more comfortable around others.
Most members believe playing with peers is a great way to become more assertive in their everyday job environment.
One highlight of the Women in Golf program is the annual North/South Shootout, held each year in October, featuring friendly competition with the women in WSGA.

JUNIOR GOLF

The Spear Golf Club Junior Golf program goal is to support organizations who offer youth an opportunity to develop through golf and character building. WSGA has a partnership with American Golf which includes practice sites and playing times at local golf courses for juniors of ages 7 through 17.
The highlight of the year for juniors is the multi-day Alan Bennett Junior Golf Championship which is named in honor of Alan Bennett who dedicated so much of himself to developing and promoting the junior golf program of WSGA. The annual event is rotated by the WSGA areas and attracts more than 300 juniors each year.
The NCGA has a junior golf program YOUTH ON COURSE which provides aspiring youth golfers with access to affordable golf opportunities to not only help their golf game, but develop them into leaders and outstanding young adults on and off the course with lasting impacts for years to come. Youth on Course compliments the FIRST TEE by providing golf skills and life skills to better interact with adults and conduct themselves on the course.
Youth on Course members can play at hundreds of participating courses for less than $10 and receive an official NCGA Handicap Index.
